Mozambique Extends Record Rate-Cutting Cycle With More to Come
Mozambique's central bank cut its benchmark rate for a record 10th consecutive time, as the gas-rich nation emerges from a technical recession and inflation remains well below the five-year average.
The Banco de Moçambique reduced the monetary policy rate, known by its Portuguese acronym of Mimo, to 10.25% from 11%, Governor Rogério Zandamela said Thursday.
